In 2003 IVTRAN (International Scientific Station at Bishkek Kyrgyzstan) and Phoenix Geophysics (Toronto Canada) jointly installed near Bishkek a station for monitoring natural and artificial electromagnetic fields using Phoenix magnetotelluric (MT) equipment.
