Abstract
Detection of pipes, cables and other anomalies in the subsoil is of great importance when a new pipeline is being constructed, especially when a no-dig technique is used. GPR is probably the most suitable technique for the purpose. Quantitive depth information and a distinction between cables and other objects, e.g. old trenches, would provide useful information before the construction starts.
