Abstract
Equipment has been designed which enables the measurement of resistivity soundings or traverses under computer control. The heart of the system is a modern signal enhancement resistance meter. To this is connected one of a variety of multicore cable survey systems together with a control module. Also connected is a portable lap top computer which enables automatic selection of electrodes and a check on the quality of data. Surveys can be carried out rapidly and efficiently and high quality data can be consistently recorded.
