PROJECT EQUANT A GRAVITY AND MAGNETICS STUDY OF THE NORTHERN CONTINENTAL MARGIN OF BRASIL

Project EQUANT was begun in 1987 with the objectives of: accomplishing a comprehensive, reconnaissance-scale marine bathymetric, gravimetric, and magnetic survey of the entire northern continental margin of Brasil; using the survey data obtained to map the bas.ement structural features. of this mature, obliquely-rifted margin; gaining an understanding of the origin and evolution of those margin features.
