Abstract

Using EQUANT project data from both 1987 and 1988, three primary grids were created for the Equatorial Margin of Brasil: bathymetry, gravity, free-air anomaly (FAA), and diurnally corrected magnetic anomaly. The bathymetry and free-air grids were combined to form a simple Bouguer anomaly (SBA) grid for various reduction densities. In order to assist the interpretation, further processing of these grids resulted in regional/residual separation of anomalies; first and second derivative grids from the gravity and magnetics grids; and generation of statistical variance grids. Lineation analysis and structural interpretation followed.
