Abstract

Oriented samples of horizontal seediments deposited in association with four systems of moraine arcs in Lago Pueyrredon valley, Patagonia, were obtained. Paleomagnetic analyses show that the Brunhes/Matuyama polarity boundary (0.7 MY) falls inbetween moraines belonging to the next oldest moraine system. The results agree with those from the nearby Lago Buenos Aires, confirming its chronology and its regional character.
