Abstract
Every shale reservoir is unique, the pore structure and fluid flux characteristics differ significantly between formations due to lithological differences. These reservoirs may contain large amount of natural gas. In fact, producing hydrocarbons from shale reservoirs is challenging primarily due to the very low matrix permeability (nano-darcy).
