Abstract

Deformational processes in the lithosphere (together with other factors) influence the appearance of inherited properties of geomaterials. One of such properties is the texture of mountain rock manifested on various scales. Certain issues have been developed of the theory of crystallographic texture formation in quartz-bearing mountain rock exhibiting piezoelectric properties. Models are proposed of textures, which provide for the appearance ofa certain symmetry of physical properties, in conditions of statistical equality of two enantiomorphic modifications of quartz in the rock.
