Abstract

A borehole IP probe with fully digitized waveforms has been tested in both hard rock and sedimentary lithologies. In many cases, the response has been as expected, and the results are presented for measurements made in pyritic and sulphide dominated targets. Field data sets have led to questions regarding depth of investigation of the multi-electrode device, and whether different chargeabilities should be expected, based on geometrical considerations. Possible mathematical solutions to this apparent behavior are discussed.
