Crosswell imaging as a concept and measurement technique for the oilfield has been maturing over the past two decades. As part of this development, both the seismic and electromagnetic versions of the measurement have seen recent advances that have allowed the technologies to answer more complex imaging requirements in the industry today. This paper features case studies which focus on the areas in which the methods have advanced, specifically; downhole seismic source, frequency attenuation tomography and indicator probability imaging.
