Abstract
In Geothermal and hot wells, conventional cement slurries, which is cement and silica mixture composition, prepared in Turkey and also in TPAO. To catch up with the required properties for the slurry (thickening time, fluid loss, strength..etc), too much additives need to be used. This increases the costs of the cementing operation. Therefore, pplicability cementitious materials like slag and fly ash were added to cement with silica. Their performance was investigated according to the results of the analysis; thickening time, strength, fluid loss and flow properties. The aim of this study is to increase the pplicability of these additives in geothermal wells.
