The use of the magnetic properties of rocks of the Kola superdeep borehole for the solution of geological problems

The possibilities of borehole magnetometry to specify lithological-stratigraphic characteristics of sections of the Kola SD-3 are shown. The relationship between magnetic characteristics and depth, age and lithological rock composition was studied. There were presented new date on determination of full and remanent magnetization of rocks to inner magnetic field and magnetic susceptibility at great depths in natural occurrence, confirming high geological efficiency of method.
