Abstract

This work is dedicated to the studying of algorithms of time-spectral analysis of seismic data. The
main objectives of this work are expanding of theoretical base and development of quantitative interpretation
of the depth frequency content variation.
Widening of range of application of this method and its in-depth theoretical justification gives us
ability to draw conclusions about structure of formations consisting of thin layers when wave-length
exciding their thickness many times.
This research was carried out using geological and geophysical data studied in the network of the
regional interpretation project of sedimentary basins located in the southwest India
The terrigene post-Miocene sediments were of the main interest for our research. This thickness is
interesting due to the abundance of buried cannel systems located in it. These channels are considered to be
prospective hydrocarbon reservoirs.
