Results of the tomographic and high-precision gravity investigation of the karstic phenomena at the section of Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline

The plump holes connected with the karstic phenomena appeared at one of the sections of Bukhara-<br>Ural gas pipeline. High-precision gravity and seismic investigations have been carried out with the purpose<br>of the karstic phenomena forecast and detection of the karst cavities. Zone of deconsolidation of the limestone<br>with the karstic phenomena has been found and traced by the gravity observations. Hole-to-surface<br>observations have been processed by the method seismic tomography. This allowed obtaining the volume<br>velocity model and determining the spatial location of the low velocity zones, which the karst phenomena are<br>connected with.
