Abstract

In this study, the X gas field is modelled as a storage pool. It is a hypothetical dry gas field with field and fluid properties assumed to be similar with the northern Marmara gas field. The storage gas reservoir performance is modelled by using the Rubis software. Two scenarios are considered in this modelling study. These scenarios are used to determine the required number of wells for various cases considering the types of wells (vertical versus horizontral), the effects of skin factor, the horizontal length, and the wellhead flowing pressure constraints. The details of criteria and assumptions involved in scenarios are given in the paper. The results of this modelling study are presented in tables and figures.
