C-45 3D PARALLEL ELASTIC WAVE MODELING - SCALABILITY ANALYSIS FOR (BEOWULF) CLUSTERS Abstract 1 A scalability analysis of the discretisized elastic wave equation shows that the efficiency of its parallel solution can be kept constant with a strip or 1D decomposition scheme by linearly increasing the problem size in one dimension with the number of processors.
