Abstract
C-46 OPTIMIZATION AND DEMONSTRATION OF 3D FINITE DIFFERENCE TOOLS FOR MODELING SEISMIC ACQUISITION Summary The main objectives of this work are the efficient parallellization of an upgraded 3D Finite Difference (FD) forward modeling code for the modeling of general TI media and the generation of seismic shots which agree with real observations. The parallel code makes it possible to model large-scale realistic problems in reasonable time. 1 LISBETH ENGELL-SØRENSEN and JACKO KOSTER University of Bergen Høyteknologisenteret Thormøhlensgate 55 N-5020 Bergen Norway Introduction The parallel code enables us to model realistic geological models and to apply traditional seismic and micro seismic
