It is recognized that it provides the best performance for imaging of a structurally complex subsurface with increased lateral velocity variation (Liner 1999). Prestack depth migration yielded high resolution for the imaging of salt domes and near-saltdome postsalt events in the Precaspian Basin as it was discussed
