Introduction and Summary. 1 The Douleb field located in Central Tunisia some 20 km to the NW of Sbeitla City (Fig.1) is one of the oldest oil fields in Tunisia. Discovered by SEREPT in 1966 it was put on stream in 1968; total cumulative oil production reached 20 Mb in 2002.
