Abstract
In fault controlled traps the exact location of the fault can have a large impact on the estimated volumetrics of the asset. Typically this uncertainty is not taken into account when computing the likely range in volumetrics present in the field or prospect. In this contribution we present a new technique for stochastically manipulating the field or prospect 3D faulted geocellular model inside the reservoir modeling package allowing the impact of incorporating this inherent structural uncertainty to be determined.
