Based on the phase velocity in the linear power-law media, a time-space domain visco-acoustic equation is derived in this paper.The presented equation can be solved by the conventional high-order finite difference algorithm with only minor modification. To ensure stability during the reconstruction of wavefield, a regularized equation with an additional term which can attenuate high frequency instabilities is introduced. Numerical experiments indicate that the presented method can produce acceptable accuracy for approximating Kjarttansson’s constant-Q model and stabilize the reconstruction.
