Abstract
In this paper, our goal is to present methods and some results of deep water depositional systems investigations (two Blocks, Gulf of Guinea, West Africa). Our attention will be concentrated on two geophysical methods: AVO attributes analysis and spectral decomposition. We will also discuss some questions of AVO anomalies classification methodology. We’ll present seismic interpretation and visualization of some elements of channel systems from continental slope of passive continental margins. These elements (mainly pockmarks, polygonal faults and mud volcanoes) are connected with processes of hydrocarbon leakage. Result of structural interpretation and AVO attributes analysis is a delineation of numerous prospective objects.
