Abstract
In the Polish Rotliegend Basin a few drillings were made, which may be included into subject called deep gas. To deal with this type of matter it is necessary to determine the presence trap with possibility of accumulation 50-100 billion cm and content of methane in the gas over 50%. This criteria seems to meet the Kutno Anticline, where in 2012 the uppermost part of the Rotliegend was drilled (6430 m, top of Rotliegend) and a few hundred meters of the Lower Permian sedimentary series were studied. Well Kutno-2 was also to develop drilling technology for the Zechstein evaporates series involved in halotectonic and halokinetic processes and to conduct operational cases at the temperature reaching 200 ° C. All of these objectives were achieved and now the well Kutno-2 is the deepest drilling on the Polish Lowlands having almost 7000 meters, and the results confirm previous geological assumptions about the position of the region in the transition zone between aeolian and playa facies in the Polish Rotliegend Basin. Burial history and facies of the uppermost of the Rotliegend in the Kutno area allow to estimate maximum reservoir porosity of 5%.
