Abstract

As development of the exploration, the research focus transfers from the structure imaging to the reservoir imaging, the input data used is changed from the acoustic P wave gather to the elastic wave. Considering the dual-complexity exploration area in west China, by deducing the P-P and P-S migration operator under rugged topography condition, a new elastic Gaussian beam migration method for rugged topography is provided in this paper, for including the elevation and dipping angle data in the basic Gaussian beam migration. After we finish the theory, we test our method for two characteristic rugged topography velocity model, the result suggests our method is correct,flexible with a higher imaging result than tradition imaging method.
