Abstract
Seismic data processing technology has always been an ever-growing science, where, a scope always remains to enhance the imaging by judicious selection of processing steps and their parameters. Greater Burgan 3D seismic data of ‘96-‘97 vintage in Kuwait is one such example. This data set was processed many times to serve the ever-increasing need of seismic for field development. In 2011, a pilot Pre Stack depth Migration (PSDM) processing carried out with active involvement of interpreter, on a small part of Greater Burgan 3D with renewed sequence of reprocessing from scratch, has resolved some of the unsolved geophysical issues of imaging which has helped in better placement of development wells.
