Abstract

A comprehensive decimation test was conducted to study the impact of node spacing and shot interval in Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) acquisition. The key objective of the study was to investigate the impact of these OBN acquisition parameters on imaging quality in terms of fault resolution, amplitude preservation and reservoir delineation. The changes in imaging quality were qualitatively examined based on clarity of fault definition, reservoir interpretation and NRMS values.
