Abstract

A procedure, guided by seismic modelling, for predicting CO2 thickness and CO2 saturation away from the injector is established on the Snřhvit Field. The modelled 4D data are calibrated to the real 4D data. In this way we are able to correct for near wellbore effects, such as pressure and temperature. Rapid decrease of saturation and thickness away from the injector is predicted from the 4D data. The shape of the CO2 plume and saturation predicted from 4D data shows some differences compared to the simulation model. The CO2 volume estimated from 4D data match reasonably well to what is actually injected in this time period.
