An Improved Parametric Inversion Methodology to Decompose VSP P and Sv Wavefields

We have presented an improved VSP parametric inversion methodology to decompose VSP P and Sv wavefields. We have demonstrated the effectiveness of the methodology using a field VSP data example. Comparing with the conventional parametric inversion, the improved methodology not only significantly increases the computation efficiency, it also enhances the stability of the inversion and the purity of the separated wavefields.
