Abstract

A significant amount of hydrocarbon deposits was discovered in crystalline rocks. During the exploration of oil and gas in crystalline rocks geoelectric methods of forming short-pulsed electromagnetic field (FSPEF), vertical electric-resonance sounding (VERS) and methods of remote Earth sounding (RES) can be used. These methods allow to detect and map the anomalous zones of "oil accumulation", "gas accumulation", "gas-hydrate reservoir" type, etc. Simultaneous use of the remote sensing data processing and interpretation method and FSPEF and VERS technologies at different stages of geological and geophysical studies can essentially optimize and speed up the prospecting and exploration stages of geophysical work.
