Abstract

This Study was carried out to assess the fluoride concentration in ground water in some villages of Bijapur District, South Chhattisgarh, India, where ground water is the main source of drinking water. Water samples collected from deep aquifer based on hand-pumps, dug well, rivers, talab and streams were analyzed for fluoride content. The main aim of study is to identify the highly contaminated and non contaminated area with fluoride permissible limit prescribed by WHO. Therefore a alternative source of water has to be arrange where the peoples are forced to use contaminated water.
