The report describes the results of geoelectric methods application for searching and mapping the methane deposits location within the A. Zasyadko mine field (Ukraine). General characteristics of field work performance by geoelectric methods are described and the resulting graphics are presented. Special attention is given to the results of later drilling works and their comparison with the geoelectrical data obtained. As a result, the recommendations are made on the geoelectric methods application for coal methane prospecting. In conclusion the article underlines that FSPEF-VERS geoelectric methods for the methane deposits and accumulations searching and mapping can improve the prospecting efficiency and reduce the cost of prospecting works.
