Abstract
Research was directed to specify linear coherent noise attenuation in the case of low signal-to-noise ratio as well as strong signal and noise interference, especially on long offsets. Presented examples from Poland are potentially interesting from exploration point of view (Rotliegend formation). Radial transform was used to extract linear coherent noise from seismic shot records and attenuate it by simple bandpass filtering in the radial trace domain. Ground roll, guided waves, head waves and direct waves were successfully attenuated by means of radial transform and compared to f-k filtration results may be evaluated as promising.
