Abstract

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA) and the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have been mandated to carry out a whole new cadastre programme that encapsulates a completely new cadastral registration system that would revolutionize the way real estate and cadastral registation processes is transacted. While the MOMRA is in charge of all technical affairs, the MOJ is in charge of the adjudication operations. This paper will highlight the efforts spent over many years to prepare the foundation for this new programme.
