Neal* (Chevron) SUMMARY Seismic imaging in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico (GoM) has been and continues to be a challenge for all phases of exploration and development. Although the presence of an anisotropic velocity structure has long been recognized it is only occasionally analyzed rigorously or integrated into seismic imaging.
