C025 Full Wavefield Seismic Tomography – Iterative Forward Modelling in 3D M. Warner* (Imperial College London) I. Stekl (Imperial College London) & A. Umpleby (Imperial College London) SUMMARY We have developed an efficient iterative solver for the 3D two-way acoustic wave equation and demonstrate its use for 3D wavefield tomography on a synthetic seismic model. Using composite shots for the tomography the method is sufficiently fast that it can be used to image realistic-sized field datasets.
