Giraud (ENSEEIHT-IRIT) SUMMARY We present a finite-difference frequency-domain method (FDFD) for 3D modeling of visco-acoustic wave propagation. We propose this method as a tool for frequency-domain full-waveform inversion (FWI) of global offset data. Within such context only few frequencies need to be modeled for multiple shot positions.
