Abstract
C048 Realistic Finite Differences Modeling – A Case Study P. Thore (Total) & E. Landa* (OPERA - Applied Geophysical Research Group) SUMMARY We present a new way for including fine layering into macro-model and constructing a grid of medium parameters (velocities and density)for finite difference modeling. A synthetic seismograms computed for realistic case of Gulf of Guinea is demonstrated. We illustrate velocity estimation procedure and depth migration of this data set. EAGE 69 th Conference & Exhibition — London UK 11 - 14 June 2007 Introduction Seismic modeling tends to simulate synthetics seismograms as close as possible to reality. Among
