Abstract
D028 Lost Frequencies Found-Almost – Inversion of Over/Under Data H. Ozdemir* (WesternGeco Ltd.) M. Leathard (WesternGeco) & J. Sansom (WesternGeco) SUMMARY Available inversion algorithms may differ but they all effectively add a low-pass filtered component of model data to the inversion result obtained from seismic data. This may cause bias: more from model less from seismic (measurement). Over/under seismic acquisition and processing deliveres frequencies down to about 3 Hz. The recorded low frequency reduces background model bias in the seismic amplitude inversion. EAGE 69 th Conference & Exhibition — London UK 11 - 14 June 2007 Introduction Low frequencies are
