SUMMARY This study demonstrates how an AVO and Rock physics workflow was utilised to aid in the characterisation and de-risking of a North Sea turbidite channel. The channel anomaly can be correlated to several nearby oil and gas fields however the seismic reflectivity response showed marked differences.
