Kjerstad (Petromarker AS Norway) SUMMARY We use analytic consideration and numerical simulation to demonstrate presence of distortion of electromagnetic field which is known as static shift in marine electromagnetic measurements. Unlike the on-shore measurements in the sea this distortion affects magnetic as well as electric components of the field.
