Abstract
E007 Modelling Overburden Thickness at a Bridge Foundation Site Using Three Geophysical Techniques M. Bastani* (SGU) L. Persson (SGU) S. Aaro (SGU) & A. Carstedt (SGU) SUMMARY The Swedish Road Administration (Vägverket) conducts a highway expansion project along E18 60 km west of Stockholm. Several bridges will be constructed along the new road. In this context the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU) was asked to carry out a set of ground geophysical measurements. DC resistivity radiomagnetotelluric (RMT) and gravity measurements were conducted along a 400 m profile to model the variation of overburden thickness at one of the bridge construction
