E011 Multidisciplinary Geophysical Study of the Sinkhole Hazard Sites in the Dead Sea Coastal Area M. Ezersky* (Geophysical Institute of Israel) A. Legchenko (Institute de Recherche pour le Developpement) A. Al-Zoubi (Al-Balqa Applied University) & C. Camerlynck (Universite Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris 6) SUMMARY Results of a geophysical study of the sinkhole development sites in the Dead Sea costal area are presented. It was shown that joint application of three geophysical methods (seismic refraction method TEM MRS) allows reliably delineating: compact salt location (seismic refraction) detection water-filled karst caverns (MRS) characterization of shallow aquifers (TEM MRS).
