P035 Long-Offset Approximations to NMO Function for a Layered Subsurface E. Blias* (VSFusion) SUMMARY In this paper we describe an approach to approximate NMO formula derivation. Three new NMO formulas are derived using this approach. We test the accuracy of these formulas on model data. There are two main problems with respect to NMO function application. First problem is connected with the accuracy of this function as an approximation to observed travel times.
