P038 Robust Automatic Continuous Higher-Order Moveout Analysis A. Ratcliffe* (CGGVeritas) SUMMARY Higher-order moveout analysis is a key step in the processing of long offset seismic data. Flattening events over the largest possible offset range in the pre-stack CMP gather improves the confidence and reliability of the measured AVO attributes. This results in the extraction of more reliable rock property information from the seismic data which increases the probability of finding hydrocarbons.
