Abstract
P128 Seismic Velocity Model Building Based on Sonic Data of Boreholes in The Netherlands J.C. Doornenbal* (TNO) & W. Van Dalfsen (TNO) SUMMARY In the VELMOD project TNO is building seismic velocity models for the whole Netherlands territory. These models are based on lithostratigraphic layers and are calibrated with sonic traveltimes at borehole locations. The model under construction (VELMOD-2) will be based on digital sonic data of more than 1000 boreholes. The models are used for time-depth conversion. 3D velocity cubes of the model may be used for ray-tracing. EAGE 69 th Conference & Exhibition — London UK 11 -
