Abstract
P145 The Petersen-Middleton Theorem and Sampling of Seismic Data V. Bardan* (Prospectiuni S.A.) SUMMARY In this paper we present a tutorial on the Petersen-Middleton sampling theorem and an unified description of the following applications to acquisition and processing of seismic data: trace interpolation of spatially aliased seismic data; dealiasing of seismic common midpoint and common offset gathers; and recording and processing of seismic data on a hexagonal sampling grid. The important aspects of this theorem are illustrated by examples. EAGE 69 th Conference & Exhibition — London UK 11 - 14 June 2007 Introduction Seismic data are usually sampled and
