Yang (BGP CNPC) SUMMARY Based on an analysis of current approaches for computing statics in the process of vibroseis seismic data this paper presented a method which jointly uses uphole survey and common offset data to compute statics corrections. Differing from commonly used model-based or refraction statics corrections and considering the issues suitable for data processing our method fully uses production records and a small amount of uphole survey data to compute LVL (low velocity layer) velocities and buried depths of
