Abstract

P188 Comparison of Various Approaches to Near- Surface Impact Correction for Seismic Data Obtained in Permafrost Environment V.I. Kuznetsov* (TyumenNefteGeophizika JSC) & I.V. Vorontsov (TyumenNefteGeophizika JSC) SUMMARY In Russia the main gas condensate and oil bearing fields are concentrated within the Permafrost area of Western Siberia. The target structure is very complex that is why 2 and 3D seismic surveys are applied. However even seismic survey is complicated by environment. This paper describes an alternative to common near surface study methods such as refraction and uphole velocity high-resolution reflection studies and recommends other approaches to obtain reliable data.
