Abstract
P255 Challenge for Hydrcarbon Exploration in Western Black Sea – Case Study for Origine of Tjulenovo Oil Field G.V. Georgiev* (Sofia University) SUMMARY The Tjulenovo mainly oil field in Valanginian carbonates was the first economic discovery in Western Black Sea region made in 1951. It is located at the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Although the production began in 1954 and after 1968 goes down the field is still producing. The Tjulenovo oil genesis remains obscure more than 45 years. Basic obstacle for this was the lack of potentially source intervals in Tertiary to Upper Paleozoic sedimentary succession drilled by
