Abstract
P266 Seismic Attenuation Study in Oil and Gas Reservoirs L.C. Ramirez* (Instituto Mexicano del Petroleo) SUMMARY The results of seismic attenuation and spectral analysis are presented to define potential areas of gas and oil. The purpose of this work was to improve the analysis of amplitude anomalies that are supposed associated to the presence of hydrocarbons. The first part of the work consisted of the study of seismic attenuation using Wigner transform to estimate values of the attenuation coefficient ( ) in a specific frequency range through the entire time scale by taken advantage of the local power spectra that discerns
